Jamaica’s Veronica Campbell-Brown continued the island’s domination of the Olympics taking the 200 meters in 21.74 seconds, a personal best, with compatriot Kerron taking bronze in 22 sec flat. American Allyson Felix was second in 21.93.
The pack could only follow the tail wind of Campbell-Brown as she came out of the bend like a cannon. The other Jamaican, Sherone Simpson could only finish sixth but with three finalists in both short sprints, the stage is set for a Jamaica to dominate the relays.
