Brilliant Mark, Bravo! Bravo! Mark you are right on target. Agriculture see how Israel is assisting one Africian nation in the production of tubers - sweet potatoes and cassava -tissue culture, so that thy can feed themselves, break the cycle of famine and the dependency on foreign aid. Wheat is not very good for your alimentary canal, yet the moment Dr. Tufton opened his mouth about cassava the big ego fool, fool people ridiculed him. We must grow food to eat. Gungo peas cannot be imported from Peru, red peas cannot be imported from or through the U.S.A. I notice that there is not enough emphasis on the growing of tubers - potatoes, yams and cassava.

Rice is a staple but not very good for your digestive system. Peppers are more for export. Yes we are happy for that, but peppers etc. cannot put in a pot and cooked for dinner. Peas and beans are vegetable protein foods, which can be stored, better source of protein than the meat products. The money spent on importing shrimps can push domestic agriculture, plus shrimp is expensive and pushes up your cholesterol.

Energy: The alumina conveyor belts running up and down the Manchester mountain is a cheap source of energy but it dos not suit J.P.S. One sugar estate uses their waste products to generate all the electricity needed to run the entire operation, why can't the government-owned ones do the same? You guys in the science of energy why do you keep silent? More on solar power at another time, have to peruse the morning's paper.

JAMAICA FIRST. JAMAICA SECOND. JAMIACA THIRD. Mr. Driva and Chief Servant your bus needs an overhaul!!! but if you cannot do it - remember King David he asked God to contend with those who contend with him.
